Services & Development

Web Design is the phase were all creative ideas are brought to life. This is the phase were a layout is chosen, graphics are created, styles are defined, and the intial user inteface (UI) is created.

Once the design is squared away, the programming/development phase starts. The programming phase is where all the bells and whistles are created and implemented. Testing, debugging, evaluating the UI, are just some of the steps taken during this phase of development.

Web development is a broad term that incorporates all areas of developing a web site for the World Wide Web or Intranet. This can include e-commerce business development, web design, web content development, client-side/server-side coding, and web server configuration. This phase should and usually comes after the web design phase.

Web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own websites accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own/lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.

Our hosting packages start at $35.00 dollars per month. These are for no-touch services, meaning the client has no responsibility for maintaining their web site, but have full access to do so if desired.

AJAX, the acronym stands for "Asynchronous JavaScript and XML" and is a web development technology for creating a more responsive and robust web applications. Although the technology has been around for a while, many have only recently come to embrace it. This technology not only gives the user a more robust and interactive experience, but can also save the site owner a considerable amount of money on bandwidth and resources as well. By exchanging only small amounts of data with the server, full pages no longer need to be reloaded to react to a user triggered event. This is meant to increase the web page's interactivity, speed, and usability and save the site owner a few dollars as well.

Do all websites use JavaScript? No, but you would be hard pressed to find one that doesn't. JavaScript is on of the core technologies that allow clients/users to interact with a web page and have the web page respond to that event, without making a round trip call to the server.

JavaScript is also the core of AJAX technology, without JavaScript websites would rely completely on round trip calls to the server to handle a user event. The exception to this rule would be simple effects achieved by using Cascading Style Sheets or "CSS".

To Optimize a site for search engines, first you must understand how search algorithms work and what your potential visitors might search for. Creating web pages with SEO in mind does not necessarily mean creating content more favorable to search engine algorithms than real visitors.

Efforts must be placed on optimizing a site's coding, presentation, and structure, without making very noticeable changes to real visitors. Considerable efforts should involve including unique content on pages that can be easily indexed by "web spiders" or "crawlers" and extracted from those pages, while still keeping the site appealing to real (human) visitors.
