iPad, iSuck, iWonder..

Apple's new iPad, or "iSlate" as many refer to it, begs the question: Has Apple run out of innovative ideas?

Lets look at the iPad pros and cons:

Pros:

  1. Looks ok (except for the silly bezel)
  2. Can replace the magazines on your coffee table
  3. Costs under $500 bucks
  4. Typing is and adventure
  5. You only have to do one thing at a time.

Cons:

  1. It cost almost $500 bucks
  2. The bezel on it reminds me of uncle bills bi-focals
  3. You can only do one thing at a time, it doesn't multi-task
  4. Need an adapter for USB access (no really, you do)
  5. Is meaningless
  6. Costs almost $500 bucks
  7. Like a mongloid, it's bigger and dumber

So, ask yourself these questions: "am iDumb?", "am iIgnorant?". Then reflect for a moment - iWonder?

Yet, the Apple chronies will line up, as they did with the iPod, iTouch and iPhone.  Steve Jobs has a big banner above his office door that reads " iGotThemToBuyIt" Many are posing the question: Did the iPad cost Steve Jobs his sparkle?
